how to find it:

Take the exit from Bank station which is labelled for Poultry and Cheapside. If you find yourself next to the Midland Bank, it's across the road. Once you get above ground, it's difficult to miss - it's the ruddy sandstone building on in the shape of a wedge with Austin Reed and the Gap at street level. The entrance to the pub itself is located in the central atrium and down a flight of stairs.

picture of Green ManUnfortunately, this pub in the basement of 1 Poultry fills far too quickly with the sort of loud suited types who haunt City bars. On a Friday night, in particular, the louts have all missed their trains and stayed in this pub. One to avoid.
