picture of Highgate InnHere's something you don't see everyday: An old shop conversion pub goes trendy, introduces Indian food and starts attracting a young crowd. They do this whilst managing to retain the old regulars and everyone seems to get on just fine. Well, that's what happened to the Highgate Inn after it changed from being Rose's Ale House a while back. With friendly service and a good drop of Guinness, this place is already good for a couple, but they've got the addition of a great fairy-lit, couch-filled back area to attract couples and younger friends. Add to the mix the tempting offer of reasonably priced Donegal Bay oysters (presumably only when there's an 'r' in the month) and you can't really go wrong here. Another good pub for Highgate.
