Nearest BR station is South Bermondsey, nearest tube is Bermondsey. The latter is the closest though both are a walk away from the pub. Buses 1 and 381 run straight past the pub.

picture of Ancient ForestersShould you find yourselves in need of musical accompaniment in SE16, the Ancient Foresters must be the place to visit. The side room - with backdrop incorporating Sammy, Deano and Frank - brings the air of the Sands Hotel to Bermondsey and hosts a range of bands and karaoke nights. Otherwise, this one's a fairly dependable pub: the sort of place where locals are always up for a bit of banter with the staff. Expect this one to fill up when Millwall are at home, but as pubs (fairly) close to the New Den go this one certainly makes the grade.
