The Ragged Trousers might be the place to meet for the younger pubgoers of Tunbridge Wells, but that doesn't necessarily mean old gits like some of us here at F.A.P aren't welcome too. And the shabby chic decor may be familiar to frequenters of pubs and bars in Hoxton and Spitalfields, but The Ragged Trousers is not a po-faced poseurs sort of place like so many places in 'trendy' parts of London. It's a vibrant, jolly place with a buzzy atmosphere, decent music on the PA and fast and friendly service. There might not be a huge choice of beer, but what there is decent (and a little unusual), Tribute and Larkins on the hand pumps last time we were in and Leffe and the like on tap. The wine's OK too and we've heard good things about the food, we weren't hungry at the time, but it's something we intend to try soon. And we intend to be back at the Ragged Trousers very soon.
