Sawyers Arms, Manchester
FancyaPint?'s review...
The Sawyers Arms is a City Centre bar situated on Deansgate in the middle of Manchester. It is the oldest pub in the City and its history is posted outside on a plaque. It is also well known to most drinkers in Manchester as the pub Sky Sports always use when filming Man United fans drinking and celebrating trophies being won and you can see why they use this pub. An excellent range of draught beers including Becks Vier and Erdinger, as well as a changing selection of three guest ales available at any one time. Food is served from a modern British menu, where you can choose from a large selection of dishes ranging from snacks to hearty main meals. The pub has a very relaxed atmosphere with the bar downstairs having lots of TV screens and music which is complemented by another bar upstairs that caters for drinkers that want peace and quiet, no music and no TV's. This pub's a mainstay of the Manchester pub and bar scene.
