A cut above the average suburban pub, this one has a feel not unlike the fabled 'Moon Under Water' (as in Orwell's essay, not Wetherspoon's chain). Decent Fuller's ales, bar food at lunchtimes and a decent sized space for darts are the basics, but it's the feel of a well-looked after (and well-loved) pub that lingers most in the memory. The choice of Magic FM on the stereo seemed particularly apt: just like the classic sixties pop burbling away in the background there's a timeless feel to the pub as well.
