The White Ferry House has changed hands, joining a group of pubs specialising in backpacker accommodation in London. That said, we didn't really spot a lot of changes in the pub itself, as it's still retained a lot of the Victorian features it had before. The walls and ceiling have nicknacks hanging off them as well as the odd glass case with a stuffed bird or other animal in it. If anything, it's retained that air of shabby functionality it had when were in here last. There's decent beer on, a pool table, jukebox and several tellies to catch the sport on. Combine that with regular DJ nights and it probably does the trick for the locals and visitors that come here. And at least it hasn't been gutted and turned into a gastrocity like so many pubs in this part of London.
