The Bountiful Cow, Holborn
FancyaPint?'s review...
Just like its sister pub the Seven Stars, this one shares both an owner and a devotion to the Suffolk beers of Adnam's but has regular guests on the taps, Hophead from Dark Star was on when we were last in. The interior too, takes its cue from the aforementioned pub, being both small and having walls decorated with old movie posters. That the Bountiful Cow's are for cowboy films illustrates the emphasis here on burgers, steaks and all things bovine-related (vegetarians look away now, nothing to see here). So, perhaps more steakhouse than boozer then, but at least we're not talking one of those touristy Aberdeen Angus abominations. We haven't tried the downstairs dining room yet, but the ground floor bar was pleasant enough. Still, this one offers something different from the other eateries and drinkeries of the area and given its slightly secluded location, you can usually bag a seat here.

I'm sorry but I cannot even give this 2 pints.
We were supposed to meet here on 3rd May 2011.
I arrived early and thank the Gods I did. No real ale available - "problem with deliveries over bank holidays" explained the barman. The background music of showtunes from the fifties made me wince. Then nearly £4 for a lager shandy put the cap on it.
I phoned the others and went elsewhere. Truly awful!
