Maybe it's a risk with this area, being in a fairly upmarket area between Balham and Clapham - this one leans toward gastro, but doesn't do it badly nor do they expect one to eat should you find yourself thirsty in front of the bar. The staff are pleasant and accommodating, the beer's good and the menu looks reasonable with looking like we'd need to remortgage to have lunch. Maybe a sign of the times, but doing things well without being excessive always wins points in our book. It's still relatively new and for the life of us, we can't remember what was here before. Typical. Anyway, pop in and have a drink and a bite to eat if you're in the area - we're definitely going to be popping back to have another look. We don't think the locals will mind.
