The Angel is arguably a below average Wetherspoon, with its location working against it. Inside you'll find a somewhat rather transient crowd who are meeting up before moving onto the other delights of Islington. Although some respite is provided by the front doors which open up, it happens to be onto the fume-filled High Street (a bit of a conflict - heat or fumes: you decide). There might be a good choice of beer and the prices might be cheap, but if you're after some atmosphere or character then you might want to try somewhere else.
