More of an old style pub than the neighbouring hostelries, it's certainly a pub with loads of entertainment on offer. With a big screen for the sport, a CD jukebox, and pool and bar billiard tables, there's plenty to keep you occupied. However, there's enough space if you just want a few pints and a natter with your mates. The classical frieze on the wall hints at former glories, but now it's just a down-to-earth boozer. Though if the sight of a man buying crisps for his dog is too much for you, try the more smarter bars nearby.
