A Hogshead until mid-2008, this is a vast barn of a pub in a converted office building just off Fleet Street. It's often fairly full, but has a spacious feel which - unlike some Slug & Lettuces - makes for a reasonably pleasant atmosphere. There are a few tucked-away corners which come as a relief from the hectic Fleet Street bustle, particularly outside the predictably busy lunchtime and early evening slots. Functional, as you would expect, but not a bad place to meet for a drink or two.
