Now part of the Taylor Walker chain, sadly, the situation hasn't improved. The Shakespeare is a nasty, grubby, horrible pub - and most certainly the worst pub in Victoria by a significant margin. Station pubs can often be bad, but this one, with its complacent and lazy attitude is designed exclusively to suck money out of tourists. You can only pity those whose first experience of London is this nightmare, but then again just one look should send most sane people packing. The decor is tacky, the drink choice is predictable and there is a laughable attempt at a restaurant section. A constant influx of lost souls who get drawn to such transport hubs to beg and drink just drag this down even further. We're surprised the seats haven't been screwed to the floor. We recommend travellers to go to any of the other 20 pubs within a five minute walk of this place.

How to find the Shakespeare Tavern pub

From Victoria (underground): follow the signs for Victoria Street and then the Coach Station. The pub should be visible across the road on the right. If you come out in Victoria Street, turn left, then left again and the pub is on the left.
