Beautiful pub built in 1924, this was originally a Truman pub called the Camden Stores. A lot of the original features still remain, which is nice. Sadly, since it's been taken over by the Rat and Parrot consortium, it's gone the trendy bar way, offering more wine than beer. When we were in, the only bitter on was John Smith's, which we found odd (there were at least four pumps, but nothing in them). There's a jukebox in the corner and they serve a large variety of pubbe nouveau food. It's probably far enough off the High Street that you should be able to get in at the usual busy times. Good place to meet for the Jazz Cafe and the place probably fills up when gigs are on.
