Small corner pub on an odd little street. Denman Street's so close to Piccadilly Circus you can hear the sound of backpacks being swung into people's faces, yet the street always seems strangely bereft of tourists. This pub though, is probably what some visitors are after in a London drinking experience: it's a cosy size, nicely decorated with some original looking features, and with a pleasant and inoffensive air. An upstairs bar lightens the load when it fills up downstairs. Maybe not worth a long detour to find but a safe enough pub all the same.
