The City Darts has returned to its previous name and a makeover has restored the wooden furnishings, added a couple of sofas and generally smartened things up. The gentrification of Spitalfields is slowly wafting its way down Commercial Street so it's really no surprise that this one's had a spring clean. What is a turn up for the books - given the trendy new bars on Commercial Street - is that this is one still feels like a pub. A dart board and pool table are still part of the package, but thankfully the latter doesn't dominate proceedings as much as it did immediately after the pub's name change. The drink selection is rather pedestrian, but the food on offer was fairly priced. All in all, a handy port of call in the evening if you're breaking up a journey to and from Brick Lane.

A glorious pub, under new management who are doing great things in programming. A weekend festival sponsored by Jack Daniels that entailed turf laid down through the ground floor. Service is great.
