Not often you find a pub within the M25 that has a sign declaring 'Land of My Fathers' on its outside (particularly in Welsh) though there were no signs of anything particularly Cymric about the place on our visit. What we did find was a rather hardcore locals pub that we didn't really warm to. Entertainment comes in the form in the standard form of a dart board, Sky TV and a jukebox and also in the rather different form of a traditional Cockney sing-a-long band (who if memory serves were called "The Jolly Geezers"). The sort of pub then in clientele and atmosphere you would perhaps expect to come across in Mile End or Plaistow though maybe not here. It'll feel even more out of place when they finish building the exclusive flats across the road.
