This one hasn't been the haven we'd expect from Wetherspoon pubs since their policy of not having tellies changed. It's now open for breakfast from 7.00am, which seems to be a trend with 'spoon pubs as a whole. We have yet to avail ourselves of this option yet, but the idea of a pint with our porridge isn't that exciting - although a Guinness does go occasionally go well with a full English. It's Cask Marque accredited, which is not a surprise and at least the beer's good. But, we still don't feel that comfortable here and can only attribute it to what a previous reviewer described as even more oddities than your usual suburban Wetherspoon. Not pleasant.

I haven't been to this Weatherspoons since late 2007 and that was before the smoking ban. Back then you simply could not see to the front of the bar from the back of it. It was always populated by the oldest Balham pipe smokers. They did do a nice breakfast though for £2 so you can't argue with that. Not a place for a quiet drink or a family.
