Mash Tun, Victoria
FancyaPint?'s review...
Another pub in a railway station, this tiny pub is little more than a concession stand that does inexpensive pub food, wine and beer - they have London Pride on the taps, at least. And when we say 'tiny', swinging the proverbial cat would be a feat even when the punters weren't in. It lacks a lot of the basics, atmosphere, regulars, loos... but then it's located next to the loos, so that probably says a lot about its status on the station. With tables "outside" on the station concourse, it's still little more than a waiting room with beer: the place to get a drink on the way home or while waiting for that train to somewhere else, rather than a destination.
