For any Crouch Enders still a little too young at heart to trade in their urbane, carefree lifestyle for a three wheeled buggy just yet, Kiss the Sky is probably the bar in N8. Formerly called Star Bar, our Saturday night found a lively but relaxed atmosphere, filled with locals a little too lazy to make the trek into Central London for a good night out - and who can blame them? With a mishmash of furniture and a simple colour scheme the décor is comfortable enough, while a good drinks list and better-than-average music policy add to the charm. The guys in charge also clearly understand how run a bar - their friendly and chatty demeanour puts everyone in a good mood, while they also take their cocktail making pretty seriously. There's very few quality late night venues in Crouch End (the market is saturated with gastropubs) but Kiss the Sky manages fill this gap very nicely indeed. All this and we managed to get to the end of our review without referencing Jimi Hendrix.
