Havelock Tavern, Brook Green
FancyaPint?'s review...
The Havelock was one of the earliest gastropub conversions and aside from closing after fire damage in 2005, this one hasn't really altered much in the decade or so since opening. It sticks by the original gastropub rule of being a place where drinkers will feel as at home as the diners. The gastro fare on offer is immensely popular with the local residents, whereas we've always been taken by its decent selection of beers (Adnams, Sharp's Doom Bar when we last looked in). This one can get packed out, but we've always found it to be one of the more pleasant gastro conversions to drink in.
