Grafton Arms, Fitzrovia
FancyaPint?'s review...
The take-over of this pub by Greene King a few years back raised this one's standards; particularly important in Fitzrovia as you're spoilt for choice when it comes to pubs. There's an upstairs bar which doubles as a private function room (making it frequently closed) and, topping it all off is a handy roof garden. The upstairs room is a good size and its central location means its ideal for those birthday and works dos, hence it's pretty popular. Now relegated to smoking room status, the roof terrace is still a welcome relief in summer. The pub does get busy at lunch and commuter times, but it's ideal for a quiet drink in the afternoon should you be in the area.
