George IV, Holborn
FancyaPint?'s review...
On the door step of the LSE it may be, but this a step above your average student pub drinking haunt. The Victorian exterior and interior is fairly well preserved and inside you'll find a pretty good array of beers and a regular range of other tipples. This one's just far enough off the main drag (Kingsway) to to deter all but the most determined tourists, but it's not difficult to find. And, although it's actually now owned by the LSE, non-students are allowed in. All in all, not bad at all.
