Duke of Wellington, Westbourne Grove
FancyaPint?'s review...
This pub's done okay over the years - and by dint of sheer determination is one of the better pubs along Portobello Road. One of Young's more stylish bars, it's nonetheless a decent pub at the same time, serving a selection of Wells and Young's beers alongside some decent continental choices. While this one has tried hard to attract the pretty, stylish things of the area, it's still doing a lot of things right. We didn't try the food last time we were in, but it looked decent enough. The staff and regulars we encountered were pleasant enough, and we didn't rush out into the night, preferring to delay our departure as long as possible. Definitely one to make your way to if you're in the area.
