One of three Sam Smiths pubs all within staggering distance from each other and sited opposite a 1929 art deco car park, the Duke of Argyll is a refreshingly normal pub of the kind slowly disappearing in the area. Not as twee or olde worlde as some other SS pubs, it just gets on with the business of serving their (own brand) beer and simple pub grub to a pretty wide mix of punters. Being in Soho, it gets busy at the usual times, but not as busy as other nearby places. A good place to meet before going on somewhere else, or as part of a Soho pub crawl.
