When Bow Wharf was done up a few years ago, we had great expectations of this place, we thought it was sign that things might be looking up in the area. It was OK for a while too - nice décor, nice modern furniture, a canal-side aspect, a pretty pleasant place to be, all in all. But eventually it was discovered and at weekends it became crowded with families (the green's next to it) and local wannabe trendies. The mood got uglier and we simply stopped going (after a massive fight one night). Occasionally we'd go in for a comedy evening (Jongleurs being above it) and have a drink or two before heading upstairs (there's a bar there too) for the show. We've even stopped that now, after a particularly unfriendly evening in the club. It's pity though, it has so much going for it and the area needs it. If there's someone on you want to see on at the club, it's usually OK, but as place for a spot of social drinking...

Thankfully, this place is now closed and the local residents are rejoicing.
