The Royal Oak, Havant
FancyaPint?'s review...
This seventeenth century pub is worth a visit for the stunning view alone, across the harbour out to Hayling Island . Once inside, the pub has a nice relaxed vibe with plenty of locals (and their dogs) propping up the bar. There are four ales on tap and they hold a Greene King real ale festival in October. The service was a little slow and the staff were a little short on smiles, especially considering it wasn't busy. The Royal Oak has an extensive menu but luckily it's managed to remain a pub that serves food rather than becoming a restaurant. If you want to work up a thirst first park near Warblington Church and take the short walk along the shore to the pub. Be warned, because of its fantastic location the Royal Oak heaves with people on a warm weekend and is far better enjoyed on a quiet winter's day in front of the open fire.

How to find the The Royal Oak pub
It's a bit of a walk from Havant station, but if you fancy it, head down North Street from the station and turn right on Elm Lane and then left on Park Road. Carry on until you reach the bypass. Cross over and head down Langstone Road and turn left at Langstone High Street. The pub is ahead on the left.
