Cricketers, Cambridge
FancyaPint?'s review...
The Cricketers could arguably be called the also ran, faced as it is by the delights of either the Elm Tree or the Free Press, both located within eyesight. That doesn't mean it's not without merit, as it provides a place to pursue pubby activities (beyond drinking), such as pool, darts and watching the footy. Indeed sports action is heavily promoted and it can get proportionally busy during important games. Beyond that, there are decent tunes on the jukebox, live music at various times and a pub quiz. If that all gets a bit hectic for you, the decent beer garden might provide respite. With decent beers and good service this is certainly solid local pub and receives an accordingly hearty three pint rating.
